The International Management District proudly hosted a successful Community Safety Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the International Trade Center. The event brought together local leaders, law enforcement, neighborhood representatives, and residents for an impactful discussion on public safety, crime prevention, and community collaboration.
The Town Hall featured special presentations by Noe Diaz, Houston Chief of Police; the Honorable Wea Lee, founder of the International Trade Center; and Houston City Council Member Tiffany D. Thomas. These distinguished leaders delivered powerful messages on the importance of public trust, community partnerships, and proactive safety strategies..

“Public safety starts with communication and collaboration,” said Houston Police Chief Noe Diaz during his remarks. “Events like this Town Hall give us the opportunity to listen, respond, and work together with the community to build trust and create lasting solutions for a safer Houston.”
Also in attendance were representatives from the Houston Police Department, the Department of Neighborhoods, Seal Security, and various Neighborhood Associations and HOA leaders, including Josh Hawes and Victor Beserra.
Community members engaged in a robust Q&A session, voicing their concerns and ideas directly with officials and security partners. The conversation highlighted crime trends in the area, efforts to improve response times, and ways neighborhoods can collaborate more effectively with city departments and private security.

“This Town Hall is a reminder that safety is a shared responsibility,” said one attendee. “Having the opportunity to speak directly with city leaders and law enforcement in one room was empowering and informative.”
The International Management District extends its sincere thanks to all speakers, partners, and residents who contributed to the success of this critical event. Together, we are building safer, stronger communities.
